Gentle professional cleanings and preventive guidance from our registered dental hygienists. Hygiene intervals are tailored to each patient, with individualized recommendations based on your oral health and goals. Some patients benefit from coming in three times a year, others once a year.
Bite Support & Correction
If you live with TMD, tension headaches, or fractured teeth, your bite could benefit from gentle realignment. Our practice focuses on custom therapeutic, minimally invasive appliances and therapies.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Porcelain veneers, professional teeth whitening, and tooth-coloured cosmetic dentistry refined to suit your face, your bite, and the way you actually smile. Considered cosmetic work, planned with the same care as any restorative treatment.
Dental Implants

Our initial examination is designed to investigate all factors that may contribute to dental breakdown - a 90-minute first visit covering your bite, your habits, your history, and your goals.

Our approach to bite and TMD therapy is designed to address jaw alignment, prevent the gradual wear of teeth, and ease the daily discomfort that often accompanies an unresolved bite, so that patients may move through their day with considerably less pain and far greater ease.
We work with patients living with years of clenching, chronic jaw tension, headaches that start where teeth meet, or a bite that has felt off for as long as they can remember. Our approach begins with understanding how your jaw, teeth, and supporting muscles work together. We use a custom-fitted appliance to find your jaw’s optimal resting position before any teeth are adjusted, then plan corrective or restorative work from there, if needed.

Generationally owned and led by Dr. Lauren Vredenburg, Calgary Fine Dentistry was founded in 2006. Dr. Vredenburg trained at McGill University and completed a post-graduate residency at UCLA before joining the practice and taking it over from her mother.

What your first visit looks like
A proper conversation
Your first visit takes 90 minutes and begins with an unhurried conversation about your comfort, your habits, and your dental history. We will look at any records or photos you bring, ask about your sleep, any history of clenching or grinding, and any restorations that have not held up.
A full exam
Your appointment includes a series of photos and a thorough look at your teeth, gums, bone, and bite. X-rays may be taken if needed, or we may rely on recent imaging from a previous dental office.
A plan you understand
After your first appointment, Dr. Vredenburg reviews everything she gathered and prepares a considered plan. You then return for a second, no-charge appointment where we review your photos together, walk through the findings, and discuss any issues before care begins. You leave with a clear plan and the reasoning behind every step.

You will see Dr. Vredenburg for your dental care, and if you have a hygienist you prefer, they will be the one who continues your hygiene visits.
Dr. Vredenburg leads a small team of women who care deeply about the patients they look after, many of whom they have known across decades, life milestones, and growing families.

Calgary Fine Dentistry is located at 1910 20th Avenue NW, on the second floor – conveniently located in Capitol Hill, minutes from SAIT, Confederation Park, and Briar Hill. Free patient parking is available on site.
We welcome patients from across Calgary and the surrounding communities: Hounsfield Heights, West Hillhurst, Banff Trail, Mount Pleasant, Crescent Heights, and beyond. For most residents, our Capitol Hill clinic is conveniently located within a short drive of home or work.
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Closed weekends.

Is Calgary Fine Dentistry accepting new patients?
Do you offer care for children and seniors?
Yes. We offer general dentistry for all ages with a focus on prevention and patient education. For more complex care including endodontics, periodontics and orthodontics we refer to a specialist we know and trust.
How is Calgary Fine Dentistry different from other dental clinics?
We are a small, generationally owned NW Calgary dental clinic – woman-owned, with an all-female dental team. You see the same dentist every visit, and your hygienist stays with you across appointments. We focus on meticulous general dentistry and refer complex specialty work out, as needed.
Do you direct bill insurance?
No, we don’t direct bill. Payment is collected at your appointment, but we’re happy to submit the claim to your insurance company on your behalf, and reimbursement is sent directly to you.

How do I prepare for the 90-minute first visit?
Very little is required. If you have records or X-rays from a previous dentist, you are welcome to send them ahead or bring them along. Otherwise, please plan for the full 90 minutes, arrive a few minutes early to complete a brief intake form, and come prepared to discuss whatever has been on your mind – any sensitivity, discomfort, or concerns you have been carrying. The more candid the conversation, the more thoughtful and personalized the treatment plan we can create.
Do you take emergencies or walk-ins?
We do not accept walk-ins or offer same-day emergency care for new patients. As a small practice focused on long-term relationships and continuity of care, we’re not set up for immediate urgent visits.
For our existing patients, we’re always here to help. We’ll review your concern over the phone and do our best to see you in a timely manner based on your needs and the nature of the emergency.
